Disney's Dirrty Stars

First pop tween Miley Cyrus raised eyebrows with her pictures in Vanity Fair in which it appeared the 15-year-old was simply wrapped in a blanket. Personally, I didn't think it was a big deal... Only her back was exposed, so yeah...

Then Cheetah Girl Adrienne Bailon had nude photos leak onto the internet. Although I'm sure some young girls look up to her, I kind of excused her because she's like 26, an adult and should be able to do what she wants to do. I'm sure the photo leak wasn't meant to happen.

But this just takes the cake...
High School Musical stars Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens pose with a fan in a SEX TOY SHOP! Wow...

Abdul Says FOX Knew

According to American Idol judge Paula Abdul, the FOX network and American Idol producers were well aware that Paula Goodspeed had stalked her. In an interview with Barbara Walters, Abdul revealed that she had informed them that the girl was a stalker and not to let her audition for the show. However, producers ignored her request and let Goodspeed on the show "for entertainment value."

Goodspeed was found dead in a car near Abdul's home last month due to an apparent suicide.

Abdul, 46, blames FOX for Goodspeed being able to find her home. Goodspeed, with her mother, had followed Abdul home after an audition according to Abdul. She also says that Goodspeed had written her several "disturbing letters" for nearly 18 years and had a restraining order again her.

When asked why she hasn't left the show, Abdul says it's because she is still under contract.

Airbrush: A Girl's Best Friend?

For some reason, it seems like the world feels like everyone needs to be airbrushed. Even celebrities that I consider to be some of the most beautiful, such as Jessica Alba, get touched up to death. Take a look at the before and after shots below. I personally think that the ORIGINAL looks better. It shows a softer, more real Jessica vs. the mouthwatering sex kitten they want to make her out to be.

Before:

After:
It's kind of disgusting what this industry does. Can't a person just be naturally beautiful anymore?

Angelina Becomes Highest-Paid Actress

According to the Hollywood Reporter's list Angelina Jolie has become the highest-paid actress. The 33-year-old bombshell rakes in more than $15 million a movie. She is followed by Julia Roberts and Reese Witherspoon - last year's top earner. Most recently, Jolie replaced Tom Cruise in the espionage thriller Edwin A. Salt, which will be shot starting in February. Jolie's 2008 movies have earned nearly $1 billion world wide.

Listen: Fearless

Country singer Taylor Swift seems to have come a long way since her debut in 2006. On her latest album "Fearless," the 18-year-old has improved both lyrically and vocally, proving to be one of the best newer artists in the business.

Swift's recent break up with fellow teen star, Joe Jonas of the boy band The Jonas Brothers, had a definite impact on the new CD. In fact, the track "Always and Forever" was written about the heartbreaker. According to a radio interview, Swift said the song was added to the album last minute because she "needed to tell the story."

Other true standout songs include "Breathe" featuring Colbie Caillat and lead single "Love Story." The latter is an example of the fairy tale theme that seems present throughout the 13-track album. The official video for "Love Story" is even modeled after the classic Romeo and Juliet story.

In the same vein, the lyrically and vocally beautiful "White Horse" is probably the best track on the album. On it Swift sings, "I'm not a princess, this ain't a fairy tale. I'm not the one you sweep of her feet, lead her up the stairwell."

Perhaps most impressive is the singer's songwriting skills. All of the songs featured on "Fearless" were either written or co-written by Swift. Her abilities seem to be reminiscent of Avril Lavinge's debut album.

"Fearless" has a more pop-country sound then her first album. In a time where auto tune is popular, it is refreshing to hear artists such as Swift, who have a natural gift for singing rather than relying on the magic of a recording studio.

All in all, the teen shows that she is one of the best in the country industry. Swift has shown much growth on "Fearless" and has the potential to go even further.

It's Britney, Bitch!

Yesterday, Britney Spears released her new music video to "Circus" found on her latest album. The pop princess is back and better than ever.

Excuse My Beauty?

For those wondering: This is NOT hot... Tina Turner failed when attempting to pull off a blonde wig and apparently was attacked by a lawnmower just prior to performing.

Listen: Circus

After a rough year of custody battles, trouble with the law and moments of just pure craziness, many had doubts of what the future held for pop princess Britney Spears. Her sixth studio album “Circus,” however, gives hope that the recovering star will be able to revive her fallen career.

"I'm like a fire cracker, I make it hot when I put on a show," Spears sings on title track "Circus" on the new album. Not only does the song have an infectious beat, but the lyrics ring true. "Circus" possesses a gold mine of potential hit singles, proving that Spears has still got it despite her past troubles.

While Spears has never been known for her vocal abilities, she does know how to make irresistible dance tracks. Most songs found on the CD, such as lead single "Womanizer," are good examples of this.

On the contrary, a few tracks like the touching ballad "My Baby" showcase Spears' softer side.

Lyrically the album hits its highs and lows. The chorus of "Blur" tends to feel too repetitive and the lyrics found in "Mmm Papi" are just plain silly. Hot club beats tend to make up for any falling short in the lyrics department though.

This is not to say that album completely lacks creative lyrics. "If You Seek Amy" clearly has some encoded messages as Spears sings, "All the boys and all of the girls are begging to if you seek Amy." Read it out loud slowly.

In addition to “Womanizer” and “Circus,” the song “Kill the Lights” is another stand out track that is sure to please listeners. Similar to her previous album’s hit “Piece of Me,” the song details the love hate relationship between Spears and the paparazzi. Speaking of her previous album, “Radar” makes a surprise reappearance on “Circus.”

All in all, Spears has done a job well done. Although her 2007 release “Blackout” did not do terribly, she obviously wasn’t ready to take on her superstar role just yet. With the recent MTV documentary "Britney Spears: For the Record" and her satisfying performances overseas, Spears shows promise and improvement. She just might be successful in her second attempt at a comeback. "Circus" is a definiate step in the right direction.

Mother Knows Best

Devastated by their elopement Nov. 20, Heidi Montag's mother told Us Weekly that she believes now husband Spencer Pratt may have drugged her daughter beforehand.

The 46-year-old mother, Darlene Egelhoff, says that she would like to see a blood test from Mexico and that she wouldn't be surprised if Montag had been drugged.

Although she's not worried about the marriage because she's confident that it won't work, Egelhoff is worried about how Pratt has tried to control Montag, including trying to cut everyone out of her life.

Egelhoff describes the marriage as the "the biggest mistake Heidi's ever made" and believes that it will only last about six months.

Paris Chooses New BFF

After weeks of fake bitches, drama and tears, hotel heiress Paris Hilton finally picked her new BFF. On the finale of Paris Hilton's: My New BFF, it was Brittany Flickinger who was lucky winner. Although no cash prize was awarded, the 24-year-old now has the friendship of one of the biggest celebrities today: Ms. Paris Hilton.

BFF Winner, Brittany Flickering, strikes a pose on the red carpet.

Flickering beat out runner-up and crazed fan/groupie Vanessa Fontana - THANK GOODNESS. Fontana's constant praise of Hilton was not only becoming annoyingly over-done, but also borderline stalkerish. Ultimately, I had wanted sweetheart, Shelley Burkett to win, although Brittany isn't necessarily a bad choice either.

Perhaps it was Vanessa's big mouth that got into deep water with the socialite and turned Hilton off from choosing her to be the new BFF?

Either way, I hope Brittany and Paris have a long-lasting friendship in the upcoming years.

Hudson Tragedy Update

William Balfour has been arrested for the murders of Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson's family members according to Chicago police.

Balfour is the estranged husband of Hudson's sister, Julia.

Congrats Brit; Shame On Long Island

Although yet again, this is not a celebrity, I felt that I needed to make a post about this. On "Black" Friday, a Wal-Mart employee was trampled to death by a mob of frenzied shoppers in Long Island.

In addition to the death of the 34-year-0ld Jdimytai Damour, four shoppers - including a woman eight months pregnant - were injured.

I feel that this tragic event is so sad. Trampled by shoppers? What could these people needed so badly that someone needed to die? What item is really worth that much? The people involved should be ashamed of themselves. My thoughts are with Damour's friends and family.

In happier news, Britney Spears recently made her European comeback. Her performance on X-factor was her first in four years.

Watch her performance below:

World's Oldest Woman Dies

Parker lived to be 115 years and 220 days old.

Tips to live longer? She gave none. However, she never drank alcohol, never tried tobacco and lived an active life.

Get Over Yourself 2

Ego-blown Kanye West needs to get over himself - like fo' real. He stated in an interview last Wednesday that he would "go down as the voice of this generation, of this decade" and that he is "settling into that position of just really accepting that."

Really?

Then again, West has always had this type of attitude. For example, last year he suggested the color of his skin was the reason pop princess Britney Spears got to open the MTV Video Music Awards that year instead of himself.

Hm, well... Lets take a look at Brintey's history: Since 1999 she has had seven #1 hits, four #1 albums (two of which are Diamond records), has sold over 83 million units worldwide and is the 8th best-selling female recording artist in the United States according to the Recording Industry Association of America. Not to mention she's been one of the most talked about celebrities in recent years, including being the most searched celebrity online ever.

Really, who is more successful?

So the talentless Jennifer Aniston graces the cover of the latest issue of Vogue magazine. In an interview she says that what Angelina Jolie did was "very uncool." For those who forgot, since it seems like it happened ages ago, Angie has frequently been tossed the blame for ruining the relationship between Aniston and hottie Brad Pitt. Later in the interview Aniston claims that the break up is "so vague at this point" and that she  "can't even remember the darkness." Pleassssssse... If that were true, then why the f*ck is she bringing it up again now? Does anyone even care what Jennifer Aniston does these days? Get over yourself. You will never be better than Angelina Jolie.

LISTEN: Funhouse

Don't let the title fool you, there's really nothing "fun" about Pink's fifth studio album - that's not to say the ballad-heavy CD isn't worth a listen, though.

There is no doubt that the divorce from motocross racer Carey Hart took its toll on the 28-year-old singer. The breakup had an obvious influence on Pink's latest album "Funhouse."

The first line of the lead single, "So What," she sings, "I think I just lost my husband, I don't know where he went." This heartbroken theme carries through the entire album.

With a title like "Funhouse," one might think the album would be filled with dance and up-tempo tracks. This, however, is not the case. Instead, "Funhouse" strays away from the pop-rock vibe of her past couple of CDs and explores a deeper and more raw Pink.

Songs such as "I Don't Believe You" have beautiful, heartfelt lyrics unveiling Pink's softer side. Having co-written every track on the album, Pink does show personal growth and maturity in her lyrics. Listeners will be able to tell each song came from the heart.

"Bad Influence," "Funhouse," and "It's All Your Fault" are a few of the only tracks that seem to stay true to the album's title. These upbeat songs with catchy lyrics are sure to get stuck in the listener's head.

While no track stands out as being amazing, there are not any painfully bad songs either. Every song has potential to do well and is quite likable. Pink's vocals are strong and shine particularly in the ballad "Glitter In The Air."

A deluxe version of the album has also been released and includes two bonus tracks and the official music video for "So What." The extra tracks are just as good as the ones that made the standard version.

As a whole, Pink certainly satisfies. While "Funhouse" does not highlight her vocal abilities, it does focus on her impeccable song writing skills and her talent of flawlessly incorporating her emotions into her music.

Oops! ... She Did It Again

Pop princess Britney Spears broke some records this week. Her new single "Womanizer" hit number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This is her first single to hit the number one spot since "Baby One More Time." It made a record-breaking leap from #96 to #1. Some believe that racy video, in which Spears is naked in a sauna, helped the single do well.

The digital sales for "Womanizer" was 286,000 its first week, causing it to pass Mariah Carey's "Touch My Body" for the biggest opening-week digital sales by a female artist.

"Womanizer" is the first single from Spears' upcoming album "Circus." The new album is set to be released on her birthday, Dec. 2.

What's Your Virginity Worth?

Although this isn't necessarily celeb related, I felt it was an interesting story. Meet Natalie Dylan. This 22-year-old San Diego student is auctioning off her virginity in order to secure funds for her college education. She could potentially make up to $3.8 million, although the highest bidder might not necessarily win as she says she wants someone who seems intelligent. She has been communication with the different men through e-mail and phone conversations. Dennis Hof, the owner of the Moonlite Bunny Ranch in Nevada, facilitated the auction.

Watch: 2 PCD VIDEOS

Recently The Pussycat Dolls released videos for its two latest singles: "Whatcha Think About That" and "I This Part." I'm not sure how I feel about either one. "Whatcha Think About That" is the weaker song, but the more interesting video. "I Hate This Part" is my favorite song on the album, but the video - while very pretty - is boring and is sung entirely by Nicole.

Since the release of "Doll Domination" I thought about it and I decided I'm somewhat disappointed in lead singer Nicole. I kind of feel like since her solo attempt totally bombed, that she used The Pussycat Dolls to get her solo songs out there.

And I have no idea why they decided to put Lady Gaga videos at the end. Who the hell she any way? After the 2008 VMA's everyone said Christina Aguilera copied her and I didn't even know who she was. Where did she come from?

When former troublemaker Lindsay Lohan finally confirmed her relationship with DJ Samantha Ronson, it wasn't much a shocker. Lately, the Ugly Betty guest star has been planning the future. The plan? Chris Crocker, watch out! It's Jeffree, bitch!

Jeffree Star that is. Star, who has been releasing EPs and singles since March 2007 is back with a new track. His new single "Starstruck" features vocals from Danger Radio's Andrew. With it's hot beat and addictive chorus, this song has instantly become my new favorite song by Star.

A new EP is due to drop in December and a full album in 2009.

As Christina Aguilera's latest single claims: "Keeps Gettin' Better"!

Star's latest track is hot.

Watch: Paris Hilton's New BFF

Heiress Paris Hilton always seems to have something going on. Her latest is a new MTV "reality show" in which 16 girls and 2 guys compete to become her BFF (best friend forever). The show premiered last night and features Hilton's new single "My BFF". The song is said to be the first single of her second album, due later this year.

Listen to the new track!

Since fellow reality TV star Tila Tequila won't have another season of "A Shot At Love," I think "Paris Hilton: My New BFF" will easily replace that empty slot in my schedule. Parts of the show so far have been mildly amusing, although I do hope relationships between the contestants gets more dramatic and interesting.

Always on the move, Hilton is currently filming a UK version of the BFF show.

Craig's List: Recording Artists

1. Christina Aguilera: Since 1999 and the release of her debut album, Christina Aguilera has remained my favorite recording artist today. Sadly, she is also one of the few singers that actually can sing live. So naturally, not only do I own every CD (my favorite being "Stripped") she's put out, but also every concert DVD as well. Xtina has proven herself to be a gifted singer, talented songwriter and brilliant performer.

2. Pussycat Dolls: This girl group capture my heart from the first listen of their debut single "Don't Cha." Their first album continue to explode with hit after hit with hot tracks such as "Stickwitu," "Buttons," and "Wait A Minute." Although, their more recent release, Doll Domination, was somewhat of a disappointment to me, the Dolls still easily beat out their competition Danity Kane.

3. Fergie: A member of the hip-hop group The Blackeyed Peas, Fergie has shown that she is just fine on her own. Even though her vocal abilities don't top other budding artists such as Leona Lewis, Fergie does have a talent that may artists don't have: versatility. Fergie can pull off any musical genre whether it's hip-hop ("Glamorous"), ballads ("Finally"), pop ("Big Girls Don't Cry") or rock ("Barracuda").

4. Leona Lewis: Winner of The X Factor, a UK television talent show, Lewis is the best recently discovered talent to date. With superb vocals and song delievery, she is a breath of fresh air. With hits such as "Bleeding Love," Mariah Carey (who's latest album was a huge disappointment) better watch out before she replaced by this rising diva.

5. Colbie Calliat: Discovered on MySpace, Calliat has topped the charts with her soothing singles such as "Bubbly" and "Realize." Her smooth voice is ideal for a relaxing day and her original, upbeat lyrics can put a smile on anyone's face.

"I'm Coming Out, I Want The World To Know"

Today's celebrity news is kind of a "duh."

Season 2 American Idol runner-up Clay Aiken is to appear on the cover of an upcoming issue of People magazine, finally confirming to the public that he is in fact gay. Aiken says he chose to come out because he didn't want to raise his recently born son Parker on a lie.

In related news, Lindsay Lohan confirmed earlier this week that she and DJ Samantha Ronson are indeed in a relationship. Lohan's father continues to bad talk Ronson, while Lindsay continues to support her.
I'm glad that all 3 feel comfortable to come out. I respect them for that. In today's world, I think it's so sad that so many feel the need to hide or hold back who they truly are. It's 2008 and people still are afraid of things that are just a little different then themselves. Depending on who gets elected in November, things could get even better.

9.22.2008

Listen: Doll Domination

Although the album doesn't officially come out until tomorrow, full tracks from the new Pussycat Dolls CD are available to be heard on PCD's offical MySpace page.

I'm sad to say that the new songs featured on Doll Domination aren't as good as their 2003 debut album. That doesn't mean, however, the this sophomore disc is a total waste. Surprisingly, the quintette shines on the slower songs, rather than the jump-out-of-your-seat-and-dance tracks that the group is known for.

Tracks such as
"Hush, Hush" and "I'm Done" are truly beautiful masterpieces. Lead singer Nicole Scherzinger's vocals take on a softer and smoother sound then usual on these tracks, making it pure ear candy.

Watch the official "When I Grow Up" music Video.

Other songs such as "Bottle Pop" touch on the dolls roots and satisfy those who love to dance. Personally, I can't seem to get second single "Whatcha Think About That" out of my head. A couple tunes like "Happily Never After" were suppose to be featured on Scherzinger's solo album, which was never released.

Not all tracks are a hit though. I don't particularly care for
"Love Me The Way I Love You" or "In Person."

A deluxe verison will also be released. It will feature solo songs by each of the dolls.

My favorite track: "I Hate This Part."
Verdict: *** out of *****

A Weekend Of Surprises

One story was in the headlines all weekend.

Former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and DJ AM (Adam Goldstein) were both critically injured in a plane crash Friday that also killed 4 others. Both have second and third degree burns and are expected to have a full recovery. They are lucky to have survived the crash and my thoughts are with them.

Now, I'm not a big Chris Crocker fan, but the release of his first single - Mind In The Gutter - is the second surprise of the weekend. What's the surprise? It actually is a decent song. Hearing his attempt at Danity Kane's Damaged and Britney's Gimme More, I had been scared to hit the play button. Once I had, however, I didn't even believe it was him until I saw that the song was available on iTunes. Take a listen below.

"Pop Off!"

Last night, two of my friends introduced me to a show that has been out for awhile, but I hadn't been familiar with: The Bad Girl Club. We stayed up until 2 something in the morning, huddled around the computer watching clips of the second season on Youtube. That show is SO funny.

"I'll jump on you like a Mexican princess on fire!"

This is just an example of some of the funny things people say on this show. All of the clips definitely had the 3 of us ROFL. My favorite in the house would have to be Tanisha. Season 3 is suppose to premiere in Dec. on Oxygen. I think I'm going to have to tune in!

Watch clips of the show here or here!
Now, pop off!
