Even the video game industry is being effects from the troubled economy. Sony is seeing a drop in sales for a couple of its products such as the Playstation 3 (from 1.6 million to 1.1 million) and its PSP (from 3.7 million to 1.2 million.) Despite this news, one product is really shining. The Playstation 2 sold about 500,000 more units than the PS3. The nine year-old system is priced at $99, which happens to be much less than competitive systems. The X360 is $199. The Nintendo Wii is $250. As for the Playstation 3? $399. PS2 offers a large amount of highly-rated games and the ability to play DVDs, which out shines the PS3 ability to play Blu-Ray technology (which who can afford anyways?). It'll be interesting to see what happens next in the gaming world.
